Ebay auction a new treasure for videogames collectors
For a while I come covering a kind of news that stand out for their links with the expensive hobby of collecting in the game . Today we showed the ability to make you a totally unique and exceptional cartridge, we talk about commercial prototype of Final Fantasy II for U.S. soil , with a purchase price of $ 50,000 (€ 40,000)
The story of the importance of this work lies in the passage of the Final Fantasy series in America. While the series in Japan in 1987 managed to establish itself as a top seller in the genre RPG with Dragon Quest, Squaresoft tried to open the international market later with the publication of the first installment in the American version of NES in 1990.

Although fame also spread rapidly, the company decided in his time, not to publish the sequel to the title for the NES U.S., because of their greater involvement in the next era of video games, Nintendo had just promote his Super Nintendo and was the time to move to develop 16-bit projects with total dedication.
However, it was given the existence of a prototype cartridge Squaresoft developed as shown in a video game convention in order to show some of the project to prospective investors, and is precisely the same cartridge which can be purchased from his Ebay auction .

For now the seller has not posted any of the bids received and is open to hear the numbers of participants. But the wait can end at any time, with the possibility of a direct purchase by paying $ 50,000. As far as any of us has the possibility of taking home a unique item in the history of video games (if we are willing to drop much pasta)

Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII
Today was the day that Square Enix had promised to show the next installment in what they call the saga of Lightning . Finally we will have a Final Fantasy XIII-3 as expected, but something very similar. The new game coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013 (in Japan), is called Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and will mean an end to this trilogy.
Details on the game are scarce for now. Instead of presenting the usual way, with a video, which made Square was out on stage to key members of the development team to be telling everyone about him. After these presentations did show a trailer and a fragment of gameplay, but not transmitted by streaming and asked all present to quench the cameras. Luckily, through various means (as Andriasang for the translation) we have an overview of both.

Anunciado Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII The video began presenting the world where the game takes place. Apparently during the adventure will be a countdown and we can increase time doing side quests available. That makes me think that what happens when the countdown reaches zero is not good. From there it goes to a sequence of Lightning following a group of suspects and hiding behind walls. Apparently Toriyama had talked in his presentation that the game will have some stealth elements.
The battle was a playable hand which showed the new game mechanics that apparently has to do with the equipment you use Lightning. Apparently we will be changing equipment and skills during the fighting and there will be a small processing sequence. The various settings can be saved and have names like Blast Witch or Holy Liberator. It seems to be like Final Fantasy XIII paradigms but with new names.

It maintains the traditional ATB bar, but now the game incorporates new elements that enhance the action and dynamism of the fighting, as the ability to assign specific skills to buttons. Square Enix has launched the official website of the game where you can view the video presentations that I mentioned earlier and have a look at some illustrations (three, in particular).

Final Fantasy XIV has a new trailer
New coming from the most recognized RPG series from Square-Enix: Final Fantasy XIV: A Reborn Realm is the project protagonist of the Japanese company and shows his greatness with a new trailer of the game (although only two weeks have passed since the video above )
Become the most characteristic elements of this saga, the crystals of power are the only hope for saving the world from total destruction Eoerza, though that has happened. Because as you might have guessed in the cinematics of its new format, the start of the title he describes the destruction of the kingdom under the flames of a huge power. As a last resort for salvation, the kingdom's most skilled heroes were transported to another time, hoping to find a way to avoid his terrible fate.
Hopefully this game review gets boost the reputation of this title, which suffered badly in the months after its PC release due to problems of development that gave the game an unfinished look. Fortunately, it seems that Square-Enix has acknowledged his mistakes with this renovation is complete and only see the results of their efforts during the upcoming video game gamescom fairs and TGS.
For now, let harboring hopes for the future and hope that Square-Enix has managed to hit the mark with new development and get FF XIV: A Reborn Realm is a highly successful MMORPG PC and PS3.

Final Fantasy III will also be released on PSP -VIDEO
Following the conclusion of the silver anniversary of the series Final Fantasy , from the company Square-Enix , announces the release of Final Fantasy III for PSP, although currently only in Japanese soil out later this summer.
Since PSP, we had been enjoying the previous titles in the series reissued as Final Fantasy I, II and IV, however, the publication of the third party had not developed so far. For this title shall be based on the latest reissue of previously released 3D game on Nintendo DS and IOS, a game completely remodeled with new graphics, music and scenery to return to relive this classic.

For this new version of PSP will come including some news, game viewing in widescreen format, access to pictures and play music and a new battle mode at double speed automatic. In addition, include the ability to hear music in the game in its original format of NES (a treat for those who still remember the great moments playing NES cartridge).
The release in Japan is expected on Sept. 20, for an estimated price of 3.990 yen (about 40 €) on UMD, or ¥ 3,300 (about 33 €) in the download option. Hopefully it takes us little to enjoy the title to western lands and recall the great odysseys with our gentlemen onion on your PSP and eventually in our PS Vita

Final Fantasy Agni's Philosophy: Excellent demo of Square Enix
Technical demonstrations can be impressive at first, but better still when they finally come to the games. The following demo of Square Enix does not reveal the platform used, or if the technology involved here will actually be available in a final product, but one thing remains the same: If they can make a game with animations in real time as you see below in Agni's Philosophy, the next Final Fantasy will likely come to market much to discuss.
Although there were few expected news about the PlayStation 4 at E3 2012, both Sony and some developers have shown that the PS3 much fabric is left to cut. One of the first signs came in the form of KARA project , then have amazed us with Quantic Dream Beyond: Two Souls , and it would be crazy not to mention The Last of Us. But people also went through Square Enix's E3 2012, and were not empty-handed. We have crossed swords with a technical demo of them in the past, but what will then not only seeks to expose the level of detail they have achieved, but also serves as a "window" for what could in future become a new title of the Final Fantasy series. Delete the line that divides a pre-rendered scene and a real-time animation is not easy, but Square Enix is approaching, a lot.

It seems incredible, but what matters least in Agni's Philosophy, at least for now, is his story. We can clearly see a priest invoking a kind of dragon, and naming the pact between the two kingdoms, when a group of men equipped with what might be called conventional weapons start shooting. One of the acolytes who protect the priest is Agni, very beautiful in every point of view, who ends up escaping from intruders only to be rescued by the dragon above. The idea of a girl riding a dragon is by no means original, but the graphics quality is formidable. Both the physical and the particle system are excellent, and beyond certain passages of "not so high" resolution in the textures, the end result is fabulous.
The contrast between magic and technology is worthy of the Final Fantasy universe, hence the possibility of Agni's Philosophy can become a dedicated title.
The tendency to take the animations in real time to a quality level similar to pre-rendered scenes are becoming stronger, and definitely opens the door to "another class" content. What do I mean? I have read several comments about the trailer for Beyond: Two Souls, and one that has been repeated enough is "like a movie." Not sure what time it is not possible to distinguish between a movie and a video game, and maybe the technology behind Agni's Philosophy is several years into the future, but it is something that is coming. The cinematic content in games continues to grow and become more actors display their talents to bring life to digital characters. Final Fantasy and passed twice through the film. Maybe they want to try again ...?
