  La estrategia y los émulos –a su manera- de la serie Age Of Empires tienen lugar en el html5, y uno de los más salientes es sin dudas Towers Of Wolin, donde tu ciudad ha sido invadida y tienes que emprender la aventura de recuperarla  parte por parte. Lo que tiene de interesante  y de extraño es la metodología de juego, ya que el juego implementa el sistema de 5 en línea o Go!, pues a cada paso que da tu oponente, tu tendrás un turno para llenar el mapa con territorios ocupados.

  Canvas Rider
  

  Están por comenzar los X Games 2011 y la verdad es que la excitación que tengo al respecto me hace ver con muchas ganas mí abandonada BMX en el balcón. Pero como ya estoy para otras cosas –por incapacidad, por supuesto- este juego HTML5 que encontramos me sació temporalmente. Se trata de un simpático personaje hecho con palotes que pedalea a toda velocidad y altura sobre diferentes paisajes del mundo en un bosquejo interminable de rampas donde cualquier movimiento en falso te hace estrellar violentamente contra el piso. (Un consejo: No abusen de los trucos, hacen perder velocidad.)

  Crystal Galaxy
  

  Wow. Cuando nos quieren mostrar qué es lo que se puede hacer con HTML5, aparece un juego como Cristal Galaxy, donde tenemos un shooter de naves sobre fondo espacial que es realmente una delicia a la hora de recordar la pobreza gráfica con la que jugábamos antes. En el juego –que tarda un poco en cargar- te encargas de una nave que controlas con el ratón –lo que es un poco raro y molesto a mi gusto- y te tienes que hacer paso en un mar espacial lleno de enemigos y obstáculos.

  Chess (Ajedrez)
  En un paquete de juegos HTML5 para el navegador es infaltable el clásico, y si hay un clásico en los juegos online es el ajedrez. Por eso no puede faltar uno en el que puedas jugar contra un amigo o contra la propia máquina. En este juego tendrás que lograr que el rey del jugador… bueno, ya sabes cómo funciona el ajedrez.

  Pirates love Daisies
  

  Pirates Love Daisies no es sobre Hook queriendo citar a la esposa del pato Donald, pero casi. Es que en este Tower-defense extraordinario veremos cómo tienes que defender las margaritas (daisies) a las que amas de las hordas y plagas de extraños seres que vendrán a robártelas. Para lograr tu objetivo tendrás que mantener y actualizar a una tripulación de piratas que tendrán a su cargo diferentes posiciones para evitar que el amor se escape de la isla. Juegazo al estilo Plants vs Zombies.

  Al comunista Tetris le han hecho mil y una modificaciones, lo que lo ha llevado desde los sótanos de la URSS, a jugarse con orgullos del capitalismo consumista como el Kinect. No es para menos para ser un juego que reduce el estrés postraumático y que da dosis de diversión en base a armar líneas sin tener problemas de salud ni con la ley. Ahora tiene una versión para HTML5 que no lo toma como es, sino que lo convierte en un cilindro 3D donde las piezas van cayendo al modo clásico, pero con una vista totalmente entretenida.

  Tankworld
  

  ¿Te acuerdas del Battle City o Tank A 1990? En las horas que invertí jugando a ese juego y creando niveles podría haberme hecho una carrera de electromecánico. El siguiente juego tiene mucho de aquella aventura de los 90, pero ahora la acción es en un mundo 3D donde tienes que pasearte en un tanque por las calles de una ciudad donde la balacera es constante.

  Canvas Defense
  

  Se dice que el ataque es la mejor defensa, pero cuando no tienes armas, la mejor defensa es la defensa (y sino que se lo digan a los 300 espartanos y su formación en las Termópilas). En este juego tendrás que defender una base del ataque de naves invasoras. Para esto tendrás que usar diferentes y limitados escudos (y más tarde otros ítems) que irán cediendo a medida que sean golpeados. La idea es lograr aguantar hasta el final del ataque para restablecer tu defensa.

  Quienes hemos trabajado en oficinas opacas, de mal humor, de escaso trabajo y donde los dueños no entienden que un empleado con momentos de distensión rinde más que uno avasallado de aburrimiento, entendemos que la ausencia del buscaminas entre los juegos de esos puestos de trabajo es realmente una pérdida. Por eso les salvamos esa tarde de Lunes aburrida y les traemos el buscaminas clásico (con algunas modificaciones interesantes) para jugar en el navegador, donde ningún IT podrá borrártelo censurártelo (hasta que se entere).

  Pathuku es uno de esos juegos que hay que jugar porque te hacen más inteligente, más despierto y más rápido al resolver puzles que al principio parecen muy fáciles, pero que al avanzar por los diferentes grados que vas ganando, la cosa se pondría muy difícil. En el juego debes seguir determinados caminos sin pasar dos veces por el mismo para completar los puntos antes de que el tiempo te destruya la jugada.

  Pacman (Versión Google)
  

  Hace un tiempo, Pacman cumplió 30 años y Google, en un Doodle para la historia, hizo una versión pequeña de Pacman para jugar en la propia pantalla de bienvenida del motor de búsqueda. El juego se reproducía con gran calidad y fue muy divertido ver a nuestra bola amarilla favorita siendo perseguida en un mapa estirado sobre nuestro navegador. El asunto es que este doodle, según reportó el sitio RescueTime, hizo perder –en horas de trabajo- más de 120 millones de dólares a las compañías, tomando en cuenta que los trabajadores ocuparon más de 4.82 millones de horas a 25 dólares la hora. (Yo sigo creyendo que de esos, el 80% eran CEOs)

De esto se trata este juego de pool o billar temático, ya que tendrás que hacer de una especie de Jack Bauer de 24 jugando para evitar que la red de terroristas CHALK que se ha infiltrado se haga con el poder del torneo.

  Y luego de combatir entre asteroides y galaxias explosivas, luego de removerle la cabeza a hordas de zombies, luego de rescatar princesas y luego de ganar torneos de lucha, ahora la humanidad les tira diferentes especies de pájaros a unos cerdos roba huevos. Esa es la historia de Angry Birds, un juego que combina inteligencia, creatividad, geometría, física y mucha diversión. Ahora en versión HTML5 para Chrome.

  Biolab Disaster
  Las plataformas 2D y los 80 se llevaban tan bien, que hoy día es imposible no mencionarlas sin recordar las horas de diversión que significaban esos difíciles juegos. Biolab Disaster es claramente un sangriento homenaje a este formato y hay que decir que le hace mérito a la época. En él moveremos a un –creemos- ingeniero de un laboratorio donde ha ocurrido un desastre y tenemos que saltar y eliminar enemigos antes de que nuestro edificio se desplome.

  La estupidez del humano promedio logra acometer contra todo y a través de palabras y acciones generan reacciones en cadena que tienen consecuencias funestas o, desde otra arista, positivas para la reproducción de la estupidez. Ante esto lo mejor es generar acciones interesantes que desencadenen reacciones en cadena positivas. Esta es meramente una interpretación humanística y no industrial de este juego de habilidad donde tienes que crear reacciones en cadena al hacer explotar la mayor cantidad de esferas posibles con una misma explosión primigenia.

La criatura de Rovio no para de crecer, y la verdad es que ya hasta asusta todo lo que está consiguiendo esta franquicia a nivel mediático y de merchandising, por algo dicen que quieren ser mas grandes que Mario Bros, algo soberbio creo yo, pero siguen a paso seguro.

Así, como no podía ser de otra forma, para presentar a su nuevo protagonista, la empresa ha encargado un precioso cortometraje de dibujos animados, ambientado en la fiesta de Halloween .

La verdad es que el vídeo está hecho con muy buen gusto y resulta cómico y entretenido. De modo que si les gusta todo lo relacionado con ANGRY BIRDS no dejen de ver el video, porque además es apto para todos los públicos.

Ahora nuestros amigos de Rovio con una sana costumbre de añadir versiones temáticas en fechas señaladas a los juegos sociales y casuales, ha creado esta nueva version de Angry Birds.

Tras su famoso Angry Birds seasons y otras tantas versiones similares, hoy nos hemos topado con este divertido tráiler de dibujos animados, de la que suponemos será una entrega ambientada en Halloween. En él, podemos ver a tres polluelos caminando por el bosque y pidiendo caramelos, hasta que advierten la presencia de una figura extraña. ¿Será un temible cerdo? ¿Quizás un monstruo?… seguro que en breve nos lo desvelarán.
