Xbox 720 could be delayed until spring 2014
We meet again with new speculation about the next generation of consoles. Also, this time there are two statements that complement each other, and they open the possibility that Microsoft delayed the release of its new generation.
On the one hand we have the words of Michael Patcher . The popular analyst drops a possible delay of Xbox 720, also known as Xbox Durango, it would finally be launched next year but in the spring of 2014:
We have not heard a word from Microsoft or Sony on its plans to launch new consoles, but both are expected to launch their consoles manufacturers in late 2013, although we believe that Microsoft could delay the launch of a new console until spring 2014 to ensure what will surely be an overwhelming demand among hardcore gamers.
Patcher not the only one who thinks so. While not naming names consoles, Paul Raines, CEO of GameStop also commented how he sees from his experience the market for next year. According to the executive, would have a launch by year, starting with Wii U in 2012, following the other in 2013 (without specifying whether the machine will be Sony or Microsoft) and a third release in 2014.
