Paul Holden make Nintendo 64 Emulator in JavaScript

Paul Holden make Nintendo 64 Emulator in JavaScript

It is true that there are already many Nintendo 64 emulators, but is there one that can run in your browser?

No, or at least had not, but Paul Holden, famous for creating Daedalus , has decided to launch a project to create an N64 emulator based on javascript that can run from a browser (preferably Chrome or the latest version of Firefox ).

The project entitled n64js still in its early stages and has a lot of development ahead, but can try it here and help "debugging".

Of course if you want to use your own ROMS should have to experience the emulator (a simple search on google will give them what they need if they have none).

I'm not sure if this should be happy but only one thing, if Holden perfects his experiment, we can say goodbye to our many hours of productivity at work.

A GameBoy emulator, running entirely in HTML5, addictive

A GameBoy emulator, running entirely in HTML5

Now, this is really impressive. Thanks to the power of HTML5 and modern browsers, we can not only complete games (like some we saw in the past), but now we have a full GameBoy Color emulator directly in the browser without requiring additional plugins (above browsers needed plugins like Java or Flash).

How it works? Javascript is used to emulate all GameBoy processor (a Z80), and with this, get enough speed to run Gameboy ROMs, including sound, directly from the browser window.

It also includes a lot of games to try. And if you have performance problems, do not forget you need a modern browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera. Or speed problems with sound? Read these instructions
